Tim Moore was called from a life of political advocacy into the ministry. Five years later (2009) he was ordained as a minister of the gospel. As a bi-vocational Director of Faith Evangelism and legislative consultant to the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention, he took 34 members of his ministry on their first mission trip to plant a church in Getalina, Brazil. The preaching of the gospel and the faith evangelism strategy they used, saw over 700 professions of faith in Jesus Christ. He and Ademir Simoes have replicated that mission trip with other churches and mission groups over the past 17 years. They and their teams have witnessed over 18,000 documented professions of faith. Their strategy is simple: meet people's physical and medical needs and provide a credible opportunity for people to respond to the gospel and profess their faith in Jesus Christ.
Walk Worthy Missions strives to create a low-risk, high-grace space for honest conversations about God. Pastors Tim and Ademir have trained over 2,500 pastors and lay leaders how to evangelize and believe they will change the way you think about Missions. Many mission trips kick soccer balls and paint schools yet seldom share the gospel. As Dr. David Platt has so poinently said, "we must change from gospel-less or gospel-light and church-less or church-light missions." In too many cases we are sending millions of our youth, spending billions of our dollars around the world where the gospel is never or seldom shared."
Walk Worthy Missions is a non-profit association using Jesus as our guide, to serve with love and compassion those whom God places in our reach. We must serve the whole person (mind, body spirit and soul). And Christ must be central to all our efforts. If we solely preach the gospel we ignore people's basic needs. If we only meet their physical and medical needs, we neglect the Christian nature of our work. We faithfully combine the Great Commandment (to love people) and the Great Commission (to share the gospel) and consequently, are seeing over 1,000 professions of faith in nearly every trip we lead.
Pastors, bring your people, bring your students, bring your church leadership and join us. You'll see the harvest through a strategy that's focused on the gospel and helps thousands of people change their daily lives. Each day of our trip promises to be kingdom oriented and Christ focused.
Get Ready! Our next trip is August 22-29, 2025 to minister in Natal, Rio Grande, Brazil, a beautiful community in the northeast coast of Brazil.
